We assess the surface, its condition and any areas of concern before starting. That means choosing a suitable cleaning method and giving you a clear idea of what the work can achieve.

Where appropriate, we use a suitable treatment alongside cleaning to tackle algae and organic staining. Our City & Guilds Assured training in the professional use of biocides helps us choose and apply treatments safely and responsibly.
For suitable block-paved driveways, our clean-and-re-sand service includes replacing jointing sand with kiln-dried sand once the paving has dried sufficiently. This replenishes the sand between the blocks and helps support the paving. Your quote will explain whether re-sanding is included. It may require a return visit, depending on drying conditions.
Before you book, we’ll explain what’s included and discuss any stains or damaged areas that may remain visible. Cleaning can improve the appearance of your driveway, but it won’t repair sunken blocks, cracks or worn surfaces.

Cleaning can remove some of the sand from the joints. Where needed, we replenish it with kiln-dried sand once the block paving is sufficiently dry. We’ll assess the joints and explain the re-sanding work included in your quote.
These marks can be stubborn, particularly when oil has soaked into the surface. They may need separate treatment and may not disappear completely. Please mention them when you enquire so we can assess them and explain what improvement may be possible.
Cleaning can remove existing surface growth, but it won’t permanently prevent weeds. Seeds can settle in debris that collects in the joints over time. Regular sweeping and keeping the joints maintained can help.
Yes, vehicles and other movable items need to be clear of the area being cleaned. We’ll discuss this when booking and let you know when the driveway can be used again, particularly if we’re returning to re-sand.
